As a HUGE lover of strength and weight training, it’s only natural that we want to talk about the amazing benefits with you. Especially as resistance bands and weights go hand-in-hand to create some amazing workouts.

What is strength training?

Strength training is having regular workouts using weight, with the intention of becoming stronger or building your muscle mass. Whether this means using the weight machines in the gym (such as the smith machine or leg press), your body weights (so push-ups and planks for example) or free weights (including dumbbells and barbells), all of these add to your overall strength and utilize your muscles during workouts.
Training using weights will not make you bulky! Building your muscles can be a slow, painstaking process. It’s why so many people spend so much time in the gym! In fact, using weights in your workouts allows your body to build curves in all the right places, so don’t worry about going overboard!

How adding resistance bands adds to your strength training workouts

Since we already know that strength training is a great workout with tonnes of variety, it’s easy to see how even adding a low resistance band to your daily routine can make a huge difference. Bands are a great way of adding a little extra to each movement. By making your muscles work just a little harder, they are both great for those who are “in between” weights or want a little challenge (so can be added to movements that feel too easy with the smaller weight but too hard with the higher weight). They’re also so light and versatile that, for those who are more interested in body weight exercises, you can take them anywhere with you.

As you can see, using weight and working out with strength training is an amazing way to create an amazing booty. It’s also massively addictive, since weight training allows you to see real results, fast. On top of that, your body releases endorphins, also known as the happy hormones, when you work out- so you can see why we love it so much!
